After a happy spell teaching, she made a huge decision to give it up to embark on a full time degree course in Wildlife and Countryside Conservation in 2006 at the University of Hull. This decision came about having become fascinated and beguiled by the Red Kites frequently seen soaring low in the skies over Oxford where she was then based. Her degree dissertation centred on moorland management and Hen Harriers after renewing her love of the North York Moors.
Since graduating, Andrea has worked for the RSPB, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Edinburgh Zoo and has worked in Ecological Consultancies. She has furthered her love of raptors through volunteering on protection camps in Malta and Sicily, completing migration counts in Cyrpus and completes yearly monitoring of breeding raptor species at home with Tayside Raptor Study Group.

As with many people in the north-west of England, he was influenced by the great all-round naturalist Eric Hardy whose weekly newspaper column and radio broadcast opened up the world of nature for so many city dwellers. As a lifelong and active member of the Merseyside Naturalists’ Association founded by Mr Hardy he has always been keen to carry out its aim - to share his wildlife knowledge and experiences with everybody.
Graduating from Liverpool Hope University with a degree in Geography and Environmental Studies he was commissioned as an officer in the Royal Navy. Since then, he has spent most of his spare time (and holidays) involved in nature.
An early fascination with city Kestrels led onto a lifelong interest in raptor species at home and abroad and his spotting skills have been honed on regular migration watches in Malta, Sicily and Cyprus. As well as an interest in birds, Terry has a good knowledge of our mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish.
His love of all things mustelid even extends to his pets -Deano and Pickle, the house ferrets.

Her love of nature, sustainability and wildlife drove her to work for Aquila Ecology. Her love of animals started at an early age due to her family having a holiday home on the West of Coast of Scotland were she went out on her dad's boat looking for wildlife most days. Also, she currently has a pet guinea pig called Poppy!
Megan is currently doing a part-time Sustainable Development Award at Perth UHI to further develop her knowledge of sustainable development for tourism businesses and other industries.
